Every 3 months

I seem to get a blog post up. I keep telling myself I will get better at it.......but that never seems to happen. hahaha. Oh well. I do what I can!

So, big news.

I am engaged to Anthony Ellsworth! The most amazing guy in the world! We actually got engaged on May 15, but it has taken me forever to post about it. If you want to see pictures you can look on my facebook. He did an amazing job and totally surprised me! (and thats hard to do!) Anyway, we are getting married on August 17 in the San Diego Temple for all time and eternity! I am SO SO SO excited.

Let me tell you a little about Anthony...
He was born and raised in Ramona with his younger brother and sister. He loves to surf, mountain bike, hike, hunt, ride motorcycles, play the drums, watch movies, go on adventures, be spontaneous, and hang out with me:) Basically, we have a lot in common. AND he treats me like a princess. I don't mean to brag, but he is pretty awesome! The best part about Anthony? He loves our savior, Jesus Christ and strives to be more like him every single day. He has a solid, burning testimony of the gospel and wants nothing more than to take me to the temple:)

I know, some of you think this was really fast. For you I say: when you know, you know. I don't know how else to explain it. I knew after the first couple times we hung out that this was a guy I could and would spend forever with. I just knew it in my heart. I will be honest, I wasn't looking for or really wanting anything serious. I was actually just looking to date and meet a lot of people...which is exactly what I was doing when I met Anthony. But our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and it's not always what we want. In my case, it's much better than what I wanted! I am so blessed and grateful for the pure love I have for Anthony and he has for me. Nothing in this world is better.

ok ok, sorry for the sappy stuff. I promise to do a post about how we met because it's actually kind of funny.

I love all of you!

Fail.

It has been TWO MONTHS since I last posted... oops!

So, where do I start?

February was pretty uneventful.

March on the other hand....was VERY eventful.

It started out with my birthday on the 6th. The big 21! Crazy, I know. I feel like this has been the longest month ever. I don't know why. Anyway, it has been such a fun month that I got sick from being out so much and not sleeping enough.....so my parents gave me a curfew. hahahahaha. It's funny now, but it wasn't the day they told me. Amazing what a good nights sleep can do for a person.

I would bore you with all the details of my month, so I won't go there. I will just say it was a really good month for me:)

I am beyond happy with my life right now though. This weekend is General Conference for church and I am really excited to hear all the talks and the Prophet tomorrow. It's always a wonderful spiritual boost. I have never looked forward to it as much as I do this year.

Oh, and yes......the rumors are true. I do have a boyfriend and he is amazing. I am one lucky girl :)
(He rides a motorcycle though and I am banned from riding on it. I did enjoy the two rides I got before being banned though...)

Anyway, I promise it won't be two months before I post again.
love you guys.

Weekend adventures...

So this last weekend was full of adventures. Really great ones:)

Started off on Friday when my favorite little man came to visit

(this kid LOVES books)

Then Saturday morning I woke up early (8 am, early for Saturday!) to get ready to go up to LA with Gary. He picked me up around 9 and we headed up to Chinatown to watch the Chinese New Year parade. On the way up we stopped in Irvine to eat at his favorite bakery and I have to say, it was pretty darn good! We got to Chinatown and struggled finding a parking spot since it was PACKED. Seriously, so freaking crowded. But it was so worth it. I have wanted to do this so bad and Gary was nice enough to take me. He said I helped him get in touch with his roots. hahahaha. He always tells me he has no desire to learn more about his culture, so he didn't believe me when I kept telling him I really wanted to go to this parade! Here are a few pics from the parade/Chinatown:

(I know, that girl in the stripped shirt doesn't match up...)

After Chinatown we went over to Hollywood to see the stars/street performers. I can't believe I had never actually been to Hollywood. Seriously? Fail.
(I don't know why I chose those stars...and these guys on the bottom were really good break dancers. Couldn't pass up a photo op!)

THEN (I know, long day huh?) we headed over to Diddy Reise (sp?) to meet up with Lauren! I was so excited to see her face that I didn't even get a picture. haha oops. (not like we don't have enough pictures together, right?) Anyway, before we met with Lauren and her friend Nick, we decided to drive through Beverly Hills. For some reason I love doing that....

Oh, and we saw this on the way. I don't know why I thought it was so funny. Probably cuz its just totally out in the open? I have never seen a Medical Marijuana store. It was a day of firsts.

and here is my little collage of Beverly Hills.
Hayley made a good point about the fire hydrants...they should be gold, not silver!

And yesterday there was this beautiful sunset to finish off my wonderful weekend:)

much love,
P

Bragging....

is really not my thing, but bare with me for a moment while I "brag" a little bit.

I read somewhere that bragging is good sometimes. When something good or exciting happens in our lives, we need to share it! So in reality, I'm just sharing some news :)

Life has been incredibly good to me lately. Seriously, I can't even put into words how happy I am. Everything is just falling into place. Everything. It's amazing. I am truly blessed.

So anyway, on to that bragging sharing.

First of all, I am so so so so excited to be staying at Toolson Orthodontics for the long haul. I absolutely LOVE it there. I have been learning SO much and seriously love it more every day. I actually enjoy going to work every day:) I work with some of the greatest ladies (and the greatest orthodontist!) in the world. They have become some of my best friends. Now, what could be better than working with your best friends every day!? Yeah, nothing.

Secondly, I have an interview for a second job tomorrow. Yes, a second job. Ladies and gentlemen, I am growing up. hahaha. Sorta;) It's at 24 Hour Fitness and I am crossing my fingers I get the job. Even if it means saying goodbye to my increasingly busy (but not really) social life.

Third, I have LOVED getting back in shape. It feels really good. That's all for number 3.

Fourth, I have an amazing family. Seriously. I couldn't ask for better people to be tied to for eternity.

Fifth, my ward (the people I go to church with) is the best. I love it. We have so much fun together.

I am the happiest I have been in a long time. I link that happiness to my savior, Jesus Christ. I truly am happiest when I follow him. I have seen his hand and felt his love in my life so much lately. I really have been blessed beyond measure.

I love you all, sorry for this bragging post.

Hello, 2012!

This is my first post of the new year! Wahoo!

It's actually going to have to be a quick post, since I have to get back to work soon. I didn't want to put off my first post of the year much longer though:)

So this is what I have been up to:

I said goodbye to 2011 and hello to 2012 in the best way possible- with a massive dance/arcade party! A couple of friends and I went up to Orange County to this big new years party at Dave and Busters. It was a lot of fun. Totally worth the drive. I drove myself, Lauren, Tarrin, and Jessica and we met up with our friend Gary and some of his buddies for dinner before the party. Then we went and danced the night away. I discovered I actually like arcade games and should probably never set foot in a casino with money to spare.

This week I have been training Annie at work. It has been fun to have her there :) It's really nice to have an extra pair of hands! (and especially a pair that we all like;) ) She is a quick learner, thank goodness. Since Annie is there to help in the back, I have been able to get trained to do other things around the office. Since I love my job, this has been a fun week learning new things. Yay for loving where you work!

I do have some new years resolutions....but I will have to do another post another time to share those. No time right now.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun new years!

Ciao,
P.

Friday, December 23, 2011

Well, it has been a week since I posted last....which is far too long.

I have been busy busy busy with work, christmas, and socializing! I can't even believe December is almost over. Wow! It still doesn't feel like Christmas though...kind of weird.

Anyway, I LOVE having my own car. love it. It is so nice being able to go to the places I need to be without worrying about who needs the car.

This past week has not been super exciting, but full of holiday activities. Monday I went caroling (in a group of course), Tuesday a whole bunch of us went ice skating, Thursday I went to my works Christmas lunch party, and today I just relaxed. This morning I got to sleep in and go to the gym. It was perfect. Then I went out to lunch with my friend Gary, attempted to find the Home Depot by his house so he could buy a hammock, failed, decided I am the worst procrastinator ever, came home, and went Christmas shopping with Lauren. Then Lauren and I came back to my house and took ridiculous photos on photo booth (of course) and laughed our heads off looking at our old photo booth pics.... I seriously love that girl.

I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life who have all taught me so much. Everything seems to be falling into place in my life and I couldn't be more grateful.

May we all remember what Christmas is really about and enjoy having our families together this season.

xoxo
